Work with Coley

  • This embedded professional learning blends modeling, co-planning, coaching, and collaborative inquiry. Whether supporting a school-wide initiative or deepening instructional practices, Coley works side-by-side with teachers to make research-based practices come to life. Sessions can be organized by grade level, content area, or focused on a specific topic, and are most impactful when offered over multiple days.

  • Workshops can be tailored to fit the school's schedule, ranging from a single day of intensive learning to a week-long institute. Topics will be personalized based on the needs and interests of the school or district.

  • By working hands-on, directly in classrooms, Coley offers personalized modeling, coaching, and feedback tailored to each teacher's unique needs and instructional goals.

  • Comprehensive support in writing and developing home-grown literacy curriculum with an emphasis on standards-based instruction, research-based practices, and student agency and engagement.

  • Targeted professional development, coaching, and strategic planning aimed at empowering school leaders and literacy coaches to change practice and culture within their school community.

  • Invite Coley to take on the role of teacher-in-residence and instructional coach at your school. She’ll collaborate with a teacher to create a lab classroom, provide coaching to teachers across the school, and offer professional development. This immersive experience is available in two or three week formats.
